Shop Manager
Run our Park Royal hardware branch day to day: the trade counter, the stock, the team and the customers, with the glass side of the business supplied from Fulham.
What you will do
Open and close the branch and run the trade counter so that trade and retail customers are served quickly and correctly.
Manage stock: goods in, counts, re-orders and transfers with Fulham, and keep the shelves and the system in step.
Lead the branch team: rotas, training, standards and the day's priorities.
Look after key trade accounts and quotes, and pass glass jobs and installations to the right people in Fulham.
Keep the till, the card terminal and the end-of-day reconciliation accurate.
Keep the branch safe, tidy and compliant.
What you need
Experience running a trade counter, builders' merchant, hardware or similar branch, or as a deputy ready to step up.
Confident with stock systems, tills and the basics of margins and pricing.
A calm, practical manner with trade customers and a team.
Right to work in the UK.
It would help if you have
Knowledge of shower hardware, door hardware or architectural ironmongery.
Experience with a point-of-sale or stock system.
Full UK driving licence.
