Glass fitters

How our fitter introductions work

SW Glass introduces customers to independent, self-employed fitters. We cover the whole UK: tell us your postcode and the job, and we find a fitter who covers it.

For customers

  1. 1. Enquire

Enquire about a fitter from their profile, or tell us the job and we will match you. Add photographs if you have them.

  2. 2. Our office reads it

We check the work and your postcode against the fitters who cover it. Fitters' contact details are not shown before this.

  3. 3. We introduce you

We email you the fitter's name and pass them your details so they can contact you about a visit or a quotation.

  4. 4. You agree the work with the fitter

Once you are matched, the fitting work and its contract are between you and the fitter. SW Glass is not a party to that contract and does not supervise the work. The fitter agrees the price, the date and their own guarantee with you, and carries their own insurance.

Introduction only

  • SW Glass introduces customers to independent, self-employed fitters.
  • Once you are matched, the fitting work and its contract are between you and the fitter. SW Glass is not a party to that contract and does not supervise the work.
  • The fitter agrees the price, the date and their own guarantee with you, and carries their own insurance.
  • Glass and hardware you buy from SW Glass are still sold by SW Glass, on our terms of sale, and your rights for those goods are unchanged.
  • If something goes wrong with a fitter you were introduced to, tell us.

For fitters

Fitters accept these matching terms when they join:

  • SW Glass introduces customers to you. When you take on an introduced job, the contract for the fitting is between you and the customer; SW Glass is not a party to it and does not supervise your work.
  • You carry your own insurance, including public liability insurance, and keep it in date.
  • You agree the price, the date and the terms of the work with the customer, using your own contract, and you give your own guarantee for your workmanship.
  • When SW Glass introduces a customer to you, we pass you their name, contact details and job description so you can contact them, and we may tell the customer your name.
  • Jobs that come through our own orders are offered to you separately, on the terms shown with each offer.
