Collecting your order from a branch

How free collection works: choosing a branch at checkout, the ready email, what to bring, the check at the counter and moving large glass safely.

Collection from a branch is free. Choose collection and your branch at checkout, and we email you when your order is ready. Bring your order reference to the counter, where we check who is collecting before we hand the order over. Check the branch's opening hours on our branches page before you travel.

Which branch do I collect from?

We have two branches. Fulham handles glass and Park Royal runs the hardware counter. Checkout lists the branches you can collect from, and you choose one. Your order is handed over only at the branch it was set up for, so check the branch in your ready email.

Product pages show stock by branch, so you can see where a hardware item is held before you choose. If one job mixes glass and hardware, ask us where it will be ready. Addresses and opening hours are on the branches page, which is kept up to date, so check it on the day rather than relying on an old note.

How does collection work?

  1. Step 1: Choose collection at checkout

Pick "Collect from a branch (free)" instead of delivery, then choose the branch.

  2. Step 2: Wait for the ready email

Made-to-measure glass is cut to order, so it is not ready straight away. We email you as soon as your order is picked and ready to collect. Please do not travel before you have that email.

  3. Step 3: Bring your order reference

Bring the order reference from your confirmation or ready email. If someone else is collecting for you, give them the reference and tell us their name before they travel.

  4. Step 4: Collect at the counter

Staff find your order from the reference and check who is collecting before they hand it over. The order must be paid in full, including any balance, before it can be handed over. The collection is recorded against your order.

  5. Step 5: Check before you leave

Look over each piece at the counter for chips, cracks and scratches, and count the parts against your order. If something is wrong, tell staff before it is loaded.

If your order sits uncollected for a while, we send you a reminder rather than leaving it there.

Can my vehicle carry the glass?

Plan the vehicle before you set off. Glass should travel upright on its long edge, supported along its length and strapped so it cannot slide or tip. Never lay a large panel flat across seats or on top of other loads, and never carry glass loose on a roof.

Measure the inside of your vehicle against the size of your largest piece, allowing for its packaging. A panel that fits inside a vehicle is not always one that can be restrained safely. If it is close, or you are not sure, ring the branch with the size of the largest pane, or choose delivery instead. Glass weighs 2.5 kg per square metre for every millimetre of thickness, so bring enough people to lift it. Our guide to glass weight and handling explains how to carry panels safely.

Questions we get asked

Is collection really free?

Yes. Collection from a branch has no charge.

Can someone else collect my order?

Yes. Give them your order reference and tell us their name. Staff check who is collecting before handing the order over.

Can I collect the same day I order?

Stock hardware may be ready quickly, but wait for the ready email before you travel. Made-to-measure glass takes longer because it is cut to order.

Can I switch from delivery to collection?

Contact us with your order reference as soon as you can, and we will tell you whether it can still be changed.

Contact the team with your order reference and the step you need help with, or search all help topics.
