Most of our glass and hardware is priced live on the site, so you can buy straight away. A quote is for the jobs we price by hand: an unusual shape, a colour we do not stock, some shower layouts, or a big job you want written down. Send us the sizes, a photo or a drawing, and your quote arrives by email with its own secure link and a PDF.

Do I need a quote?

If the configurator shows a price and "Add to basket", you do not need a quote. You can still save one if you want a written price to think about. You need a quote when the configurator shows "Request a quote" instead, and tells you why.

How do I ask for a quote?

  1. Step 1: Try the configurator first

Build the piece in the configurator. If it can be priced, you see the price now.

  2. Step 2: Save it as a quote

On the review step, press "Save as quote" and give your email if you are not signed in. We email the quote to you. This suits a large job with many pieces.

  3. Step 3: Or send a brief

For anything the configurator cannot describe, use the quote page. Choose what it is for, then describe the job and attach sizes, photos or drawings.

  4. Step 4: We price it

The team who price by hand see every size, note and file you send. How long it takes depends on the job. If it is urgent, ring the counter.

  5. Step 5: Your quote arrives

You get an email with a secure link and a PDF. Signed in, the quote is also in your account.

What should I send with a request?

  • Sizes in millimetres, and whether each is the opening size or the exact glass size. See measuring an opening.
  • The glass you want, if you know it: type, thickness and edges.
  • A photo of where it goes, and of any old glass you are replacing.
  • For a shape, a template or a CAD drawing. Read sending a template or drawing.

How long is a quote valid?

Every quote prints the date it is valid until. Up to that date the quoted price is the price you pay, even if our price book changes. After that date the quote is repriced from the live book before you can accept it. The page then shows the quoted figure beside the current one, so you can see what changed.

How do I accept a quote?

Open the link in the quote email and press accept. How much you pay at that point depends on the total:

Quote total including VATWhat you pay when you acceptThe rest
Under £2,500The full amountNothing more
£2,500 or moreA 50% depositThe balance before delivery or fitting

Read quote payments and deposits for how the balance works. Trade accounts with agreed credit terms are invoiced on account instead.

Can a quote be changed?

Yes. Contact us with the quote number and what you want to change. We send a revised quote. A revision can move the total across the £2,500 line, so the payment plan follows the revised total.

Questions we get asked

Is a quote proof that I have paid?

No. A quote is a price. Your order confirmation and invoice record what you have paid.

Do I need an account to get a quote?

No. Give your email and the quote is sent there. With an account, it also shows in your quotes list.

My quote has passed its date. Can I still accept it?

Yes, at the current price. The page shows the quoted figure and today's figure side by side before you accept.

Will you follow up on my quote?

We may email you a reminder while the quote is open. Every reminder has a link to stop them.

Contact the team with your order reference and the step you need help with, or search all help topics.
