We can fit the glass we supply as well as make it. Fitting is a separate line on a quote, priced for your job, because it depends on the room, the access and the work involved. Tell us you would like it fitted when you ask for a quote. Where your quote is paid by deposit, the balance is due before the fitting day.
How do I get fitting added to my order?
Step 1: Ask for a quote with fitting
Use the contact page or a quote request and say you would like the glass fitted. Photos of the opening and the access help us price it.
Step 2: Have it measured
For a fitted job we usually measure it ourselves, on a measuring visit. That way the sizes are our responsibility.
Step 3: Accept the quote
The quote lists the glass, the hardware and the fitting as separate lines. Accept it to place the order.
Step 4: Pay as the quote says
A quote total under £2,500 including VAT is paid in full when you accept it. At £2,500 or over, a deposit is paid when you accept and the balance before delivery or fitting.
Step 5: Agree the fitting date
We agree the fitting date with you and confirm it before the visit.
What happens on the fitting day?
The installer sends you a text when they are on the way, to the UK mobile number we hold for the visit. If we have no mobile number, we call you instead. Please make sure someone who can let the installer in and agree where fixings go is at the property for the visit.
On site, the installer takes before and after photographs of the work. These are a private record of the job, kept with the visit, and only staff working on it can see them. They are not published or used in our gallery. Read our privacy policy for how long job records are kept.
If something stops the work, such as an opening that has changed since it was measured or a part that is missing, the installer records it and we agree a return visit with you.
Why must the balance be paid before fitting?
When a quote of £2,500 or more is paid by deposit, the balance is due before delivery or fitting. If it is still owing, the installation visit is held: the installer's visit does not go ahead until it is paid, unless a manager releases the hold for a recorded reason. The balance is still owed after a release. You can pay the balance from your order page with the "Pay the balance" button, or from the payment link we send. Read paying a balance for the steps.
Orders on a trade credit account are not held this way. They are paid on the account's agreed terms.
Is this the same as the fitter directory?
No. When we fit the glass, we are responsible for the fitting work, and we carry it out with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. Our fitter directory is different: it introduces you to independent, self-employed fitters, and the contract for that work is between you and the fitter.
| Part of the job | Fitted by us | Through the fitter directory |
|---|---|---|
| Glass and hardware | Sold by us | Sold by us, if you buy them from us |
| Measuring | Ours when we measure; yours when you send sizes | Agree with the fitter who measures |
| Fitting work, price and date | Ours, on the quote | Agreed between you and the fitter |
Before you accept a fitting quote, check what it leaves out, such as electrical work, making good, decorating or taking away old glass. Ask us to settle anything unclear first. If something goes wrong, give us your order reference and say what has failed; you do not need to work out the cause yourself.

Questions we get asked
Can I buy fitting online?
Not as a fixed price. Fitting is quoted for your job, so ask us for a quote with fitting included.
Will the installer remove my old shower screen?
Tell us when you ask for the quote. Removing and disposing of old glass is extra work, so it needs to be on the quote.
Why did I not get the on the way text?
The text goes to a UK mobile number on your order. If there is none, we call you instead. Check the number on your order page.
Who do I contact if the fitting is not right?
Contact us with your order reference. Fitting we carry out is our responsibility, so we deal with it directly.
Contact the team with your order reference and the step you need help with, or search all help topics.
