A measuring visit is where we come to you and measure the opening, so the glass fits first time. You book it on our booking page. The visit costs £75 including VAT, paid when you book, and that amount comes off your next purchase from us. The credit lasts 12 months from the visit, and you get a written quote after it.
When is a measuring visit worth it?
Most straightforward openings can be measured at home with our measuring pack and the steps in measuring an opening. The pack is a guide, not a survey. Book a visit when:
- the opening is out of square, for example the two diagonals differ by more than 3 mm
- the glass is structural, such as a balustrade or a barrier
- you would rather we took the sizes than measure it yourself
Made-to-measure glass is cut for your exact opening, which is why it cannot be returned for a change of mind. On a visit we take the exact sizes, wall to wall, and allow for an opening that is out of square.
How do I book a visit?
- Go to the booking page.
- Enter your postcode and press "Check my postcode". The booking page checks whether we visit your area.
- Pick the time window that suits you. The surveyor rings when they are close, and you get a reminder the day before.
- Pay the £75 fee by card to confirm the booking.

How does the £75 credit work?
The £75 you pay is a single-use credit. It comes off your next quote from us or your next online order for products or services, whichever comes first. It is used once only, and it never takes an order below zero.
The credit expires 12 months after the visit. You can still use it on the first anniversary of the visit. From the next day it cannot be applied, and your booking page shows the date it lapsed.
If an order that used the credit is later cancelled or refunded, the £75 is refunded to you as money, as part of that refund, back to the card you paid for the visit with. It does not come back as a new credit.
What happens after the visit?
You get a written quote. There is no obligation: go ahead or don't. If you go ahead, the £75 comes off. Before anything is cut, every order is confirmed with a dimensioned drawing. See your drawing and checks.
How do I move or cancel my visit?
Use the link in your confirmation email. It opens your booking, where you can pick a new time or cancel.
If we have to cancel a visit, we always refund the fee. If you cancel it yourself, ask us about the fee before you do.
Do you cover my area?
The booking page checks your postcode when you enter it, and shows the areas we visit. If we do not cover your postcode, ask us. You can also measure it yourself with the measuring pack, or look for an independent fitter through our fitter introductions.
