Saving and sharing a glass design

How to copy a link to your design, save it as a quote, come back to it later, share it with a partner or fitter, and find the drawing again.

On the configurator's review step you can keep a design in two ways. "Copy link" gives you a link that opens the drawing and specification, and lets anyone reopen the design with the live price. "Save as quote" saves it as a quote and emails it to you, with a PDF that includes the drawing. Neither one places an order.

  1. Step 1: Finish the design

Build the piece in the configurator and go to the review step.

  2. The button confirms when the link is on your clipboard.

  3. Step 3: Paste it anywhere

Send it by message or email, or keep it in your notes. Opening it shows the drawing and specification.

  4. Step 4: Reopen it to buy

From the link, open the design in the configurator. The price shown is today's live price.

A large job with many details may be too big for a normal link. In that case we make a short link for it instead. If copying fails on your phone, the link is shown below the button so you can copy it by hand.

Tell the person what you want them to check: the opening sizes, the door swing, the fixings or the look. "Have a look at this" can leave each of you thinking the other checked the sizes.

Anyone with the link can open it, so do not add site access details or personal information to a design you plan to forward. Send those with the order or enquiry instead.

How do I save a design as a quote?

Press "Save as quote" on the review step. If you are not signed in, give your email address. We email you the quote with its own secure link and a PDF, and it shows in your account if you have one.

The button opens once you have chosen the glass and any issues on the design are fixed. A message beside the button says which of these is holding it.

Saving as a quote suits a big job with many pieces, or a job you want to think about. The quoted price holds until the date on the quote. Read getting a quote.

A link opens the design at today's price, so it can differ from a screenshot you took earlier. A screenshot is not a price promise. If you change the design, copy a new link and say that it replaces the old one.

An accepted quote or a paid order has its own record. Changing it is a correction to that order, not a new design: read changing or cancelling an order.

What if my design has gone?

Check you opened your saved link rather than starting a new design. Work in progress kept on one device may not follow you to another browser, and private browsing or clearing site data can remove it.

If you had already paid, do not rebuild the design and pay again. Use your order reference, or read no confirmation after payment.

Where can I see the drawing again?

A saved quote's PDF includes the dimensioned drawing. After you order, your order page shows the drawing of each piece with its sizes, holes and cut-outs in millimetres. Keep it with your measurements until the glass is fitted. Read your drawing and checks.

Questions we get asked

Why is Save as quote greyed out?

It opens once you have chosen the glass and fixed any issues shown on the design. The message beside it says which.

Which version should my fitter check?

The latest one. Send the new link or quote and say what changed since the last.

Contact the team with your order reference and the step you need help with, or search all help topics.
